    Study of PV systems for self-consumption at the UPC based on simulations by using PVSol

    The aim of this work is to carry out a sustainability study in five campuses of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya BarcelonaTech (UPC) around Catalunya, i.e. Campus North and South Campuses in Barcelona city, Campus Baix Llobregat, Campus Manresa and Campus Vilanova i la Geltrú. The amount of consumed energy included in the study for each campus corresponds to monitoring data of previous periods. The study analyses the expected energy production, as well as the self-consumption that can be achieved by using photovoltaic (PV) systems of 25, 50 and 100 kWp and c-Si, Poly or CdTe Technology in order to reduce the environmental impact in each campus.     This work describes experiences learned in teaching photovoltaic (PV) courses in Engineering Master Degrees at the UPC. These PV courses are included as elective courses in the Master of Energy Engineering included in the international master programs: Environomical Pathways for Sustainable Energy Systems (SELECT) and Renewable Energy (RENE) and in the Master Degree in Electronic Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona, Spain. These Master Degrees are aligned with the objectives of the European SET plan and the objectives of KIC InnoEnergy in the field of renewable energies and aim at delivering education for high competency and quality engineering skills in the field. The content of these programmes is focused to the renewable technologies concept of “learning by doing”, so combining deep theory knowledge (top-down approach) with internship in industry co-advisored by the university and the industry (bottom-up approach) in an international environment

    V súcasnosti architektúra založená na Internete dovoluje výmenu služieb a tovarov medzi prvkami, zariadeniami a objektami pripojenými do siete. IoT sa odvoláva na sietové pripojenie každodenných objektov, ktoré sú casto vybavené urcitým druhom inteligencie. V tomto kontexte môže byt Internet taktiež platforma pre zariadenia na elektronickú komunikáciu, zdielanie informácií a špecifických dát so svetom okolo nich. Takže IoT môže byt vnímaný ako reálna evolúcia toho, co rozumieme pod slovom Internet. Internet bol z väcšej casti využívaný na spojovo orientované aplikacné protokoly ako HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) a SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol).
